My name is, Diane, owner, baker and, all around hands-on person of The Cookie Fiend. I run a cozy home bakery business located in SW Portland. I specialize in baking small batch treats from scratch using recipes that have been passed down from my family.. and others recreated from testing and research. All a labor of love, with pride and integrity.
After moving here from L.A., I discovered my passion for baking and have been pursuing it ever since. When I'm not whipping up some delicious treats, I like to give back to my community by volunteering for Meals on Wheels & Ronald McDonald House Charities. I also enjoy collecting graphic novels, 80's toys, and going to concerts to support the incredible local music scene.
One more thing about me - I've successfully beaten cancer twice and I'm determined to keep a positive outlook on life. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and my business, and I'm excited to hear from you soon.
Diane was featured on a segment of KOIN 6 news ~ Everyday Northwest called Everyday Baking. Her small business has drawn quite a fan base due to Diane's vibrant personality and delicious cookies. After her 2nd diagnosis of cancer in 2010, and a long-fought battle... Diane gave up working for others and created what is now known as The Cookie Fiend. Although she deals with a hereditary disease, Neurofibromatosis, baking is her escape. TCF loves to see the smiles on every cookie fiend's face.
